ResearchKit (Apple) and ResearchStack (Android) are open source frameworks for researchers to inform and consent patients, and to collect personal health data from participants in trials. Carroll’s presentation will cover the basics about these platforms: how they work, why they matter to researchers and app developers, and how users can build their own prototype study on both Apple and Android
without any background in programming.
About the presenter:
Michael Carroll is CTO of eConsult startup RubiconMD, a Technologist-in-Residence in the Small Data Lab at Cornell Tech and an aspiring polymath. In his free time, Michael travels the world looking for new samples to add to his audio compendium of medieval musical instruments.
